Robert will be moving to Jonathan's house in September. Jonathan and Robert get along well and both enjoy attending Saddleback Community Church and participating in MYART Theater group together. Since Robert's roommate, Hope, passed away last September Robert has been seeking the perfect living situation. Both Robert and Jonathan are looking forward to being roommates. Robert is excited to make the move and get settled in so that he can invite Kelly over for dinner. In September, Robert and Jonathan will return to MYART rehearsals for their upcoming play, "The King and I."

Robert continues to profess his love for Kelly every day! He and Kelly generally get together several times a week. Sometimes Robert even visits Kelly and her family at Kelly's parents' house. We are so happy and thankful that Kelly's mom and dad have welcomed Robert into their family. Robert and Kelly are still engaged and someday hope to get married. Robert says for his honeymoon he would like take Kelly on a cruise.

Besides thinking about Kelly all of the time, Robert participates in the SUCCESS Day Program during the week. Robert loves to help anyone who needs him. The staff at SUCCESS have worked with Robert to determine his vocational interests. Robert volunteers in a number of locations throughout Orange County. He especially likes volunteering opportunities where he gets to assist senior citizens. In his spare time, Robert likes to come over and visit his younger brothers. He enjoys showing Shawn how to play with various toys. Shawn always smiles when he sees Robert so we know that Shawn loves spending time with his older brother.

Robert continues to participate in MYART Theater group. He is also interested in joining a bowling league. Jim is working on getting TEAM SILCOCK into a local league.

Hey brother hope you’re gonna do well
Here are some words of advice
Moving out is a big step
Some aspects are scary, some nice
Feels kind of strange to be out of on your own
You may feel lonely at times
When you have to pay the rent yourself
Independence may not seem so fine

Chorus:
Are you ready to take that next step?
I know that it’s all for the best
Are you ready to take that next step?
Time to be leaving the nest

Hey brother don’t you worry too much
I think that you’re ready to fly
You can listen to music as loud as you want
And act like a regular guy
You can talk on the phone as long as you like
You can stay up half the night
You’ll be free to have a girlfriend
Soon you’ll see that it’s alright

Chorus:
I think you’re ready to take that next step
I know that it’s all for the best
I think you’re ready to take that next step
Time to be leaving the nest

Robert is in Love with Kelly!
Robert
(24) recently shared some exciting news with us. He proposed to his girlfriend, Kelly! He actually was quite the gentleman about the proposal. First he asked Kelly's parents for her hand in marriage. Once he received their blessing, he proposed on one knee to Kelly. Robert was happy to tell us that Kelly said yes! Robert and Kelly have agreed that the actual wedding will be way in the future and they are going to enjoy being an engaged couple for the time being.

Robert is still an enthusiastic member of the SUCCESS Day Program. Robert enjoys serving others in the community. He is a volunteer with the Meals on Wheels program; Raccoons Etc.; and the Ronald McDonald House. Robert is particularly proud of his involvement with Habitat for Humanity.

Robert was an active participant in building a house from the ground up. Robert, with his tool belt and hard hat, worked along side licensed contractors as they built a home for a low income family in Orange County.
