 On May 15, 2004, Alin received the
Huntington Beach, CA American Youth Character Award.This prestigious award honors young people whose lives and achievements demonstrate an enduring commitment to qualities associated with good character. Alin was also part of a select group of honorees who will also be inducted into the "Huntington Beach Youth Character Hall of Fame" at the Huntington Beach City Council meeting on May 17, 2004. The Huntington Beach Children's Needs Task Force, together with the City of Huntington Beach, sponsored the American Youth Character Awards program to honor young people whose lives and achievements demonstrate an enduring commitment to qualities associated with good character. The honorees were selected based on an established criteria that includes inner- strength in overcoming obstacles, making the right choices, helping others while serving the community, and doing the right thing despite social pressures or personal risks.
